A Travel Guide to West Virginia
1. Introduction
West Virginia, constantly covered with forests and known as "Mountain State ", offers breathtaking scenery, natural resource-related, and all year round, outdoor activities.
Once rich coal and wood, it has been shaped by mining and railroad logging that removes them, but when decades of withdrawal has begun to exhaust the products, equipment, green mountains covered with secondary byproducts gave, namely, hiking, biking, fishing, rafting, climbing, and hunting tourists and sports lovers. His New River Gorge, which offers many similar activities, is equally beautiful with its steep banks and areas of blue, while the principle city of Charleston, revitalized in the years 1970 and 1980, now includes museums, art, shopping malls, restaurants and theaters world-class.
2. Charleston
Located on the Kanawha River and sports system readily marketable street grid, it is divided into the Capitol complex and downtown with the East End Historic District in between.
In the former, which is the heart of state government, advanced the ubiquitous visible gold-domed Capitol itself. Built of Indiana limestone buff and 4,640 tons of steel, which in turn required the temporary cessation of a branch railway, transport, building had been planned in three phases over a period of eight years from 1924 to 1925 for the west wing from 1926 to 1927 for the east wing, and from 1930 to 1932 the Rotunda connection. It was officially opened by Governor William G. Conley June 20, 1932, to mark the 69th anniversary of West Virginia's statehood.
Its golden dome, which extends five feet higher than the Capitol in Washington, is gilded with 23 carat gold leaf ½, applied between 1988 and 1991 as a small square to cover the surface of copper and other lead.
Two-thirds of its interior, which includes 535,000 feet square divided into 333 rooms, is composed of Italian travertine, Imperial derby, and marble from Tennessee, and the chandelier in the rotunda, its centerpiece, is composed of 10,180 pieces of Czechoslovakian crystal illuminated by 96 light bulbs. Weighing 4000 pounds, it hangs from a 54-foot brass and bronze chain.
In front of State Capitol, but always within the complex, is the West Virginia Cultural Center. Opened in 1976 and operated Division of West Virginia Culture and History, it has been created to show the state of artistic, cultural, historical and heritage, and the houses of the West Virginia State Museum, archives and library history, a gift shop and a place for cultural events, shows, and related programs.
The first, a collection of elements representing the state land, people, and culture, is divided into 24 scenes covering five major periods: Prehistory (3 million years BC to 1650 AD), Frontier (1754-1860) Civil War and the 35th State (1861-1899), industrialization (1900-1945), and Change and Tradition (1954 21st Century). The 24 performances themselves trace the evolution of the state and include periods such as "coal forests", "plains of the river," "Wilderness," "The Fort", "Harper's Ferry," Building the track, "" Coal Mine "," Main Street, West Virginia, " and "New River Gorge."
Thirteen monuments, memorials, and statues honoring West Virginia for their contributions to the state and the grace Nation Capitol Complex landscaped park.
Culture can also be experienced at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences, a modern society 240,000 square foot complex with three levels, which opened July 12, 2003 and is one of the most ambitious economic, cultural and educational projects in the history of West Virginia. Offering science, visual arts and performing arts under one roof, the center houses the double level Avampato Discovery Museum interactive discussion, experience with youth-oriented sections such as health Royale, Kids Space, Earth City, and the plant Gizmo. A 9000 square feet Art Gallery, second floor, two features permanent and temporary exhibitions, the latter focusing on art from the 19th and 20th century by names such as Andy Warhol, Stuart Davis, Alexander Calder, Frank Stella, Vida Frey and Albert Paley. The Theatre ElectricSky, a 61-foot planetarium dome, offers daily shows of astronomy presentations and widescreen. The shows are held in two locations: the 1883-seat Maier Foundation Performance Hall, which houses the Symphony Orchestra of West Virginia, but also offers a variety of types of performances, comedy to singers popular bands, repertoire, and Broadway plays, and the 200-seat Walker Theatre, which features plays and dances with style seats cabaret program for Woody Hawley singer-songwriter. Douglas V. Cafe Intermezzo Reynolds and three classrooms are located on the lower level.
Purchases can be performed on two main sites. Charleston Town Center Mall, located near the downtown Marriott and Embassy Suites Hotel, and near the Civic Center is a one million square foot, three-level complex with over 130 stores, three anchor department stores, six full service restaurants, and a food court with ten other fast food places, and is available in three convenient parking. Sporting a three-story atrium and a fountain, the top Quality, Kanawha Valley complex was the largest urban mall east of the Mississippi River when it opened in 1983.
Market Capitol located on Capitol Street and sixth in the restoration and converted, 1800 Kanawha and Michigan Railroad Depot, is divided into two markets inside and outside, the last of which can be used by farmers in good faith and receives every day, fresh, seasonal supplies, usually composed of flowers, shrubs and trees in spring, fruits and vegetables of summer, pumpkins, gourds, and cornstalks in the fall and Christmas trees, wreaths, and garlands in winter. The covered market sells seafood, cheeses and wines, and offers several food stalls and a small full service Italian restaurant.
A dinner can be spent at the racetrack and gaming Tri-Center. Located 15 minutes drive from Charleston to Cross Lanes, The venue offers 90,000 square feet of gaming and entertainment, including over 1,300 slot machines, live racing, a poker room, blackjack, Roulette, craps and, and four restaurants: The French Quarter Restaurant and Bar, the first round of restaurants, Cafe Orleans and the Crescent City. Proximity, Hotel Mardi Gras style was completed in 2010.

The Potomac Highlands, located in the eastern part State on the Allegheny Plateau, is a tapestry of various geographic regions and covers eight counties. Otherwise referred to as "Mountain Highlands, It was formed some 250 million years when the collision of North America and Africa had produced a single mass raised. Poker Hands – Everything you need to know about the different poker hands
Winning poker hands are determined by rank, and combinations specific cards have a value so that you can measure a hand against the other to determine the winner. For example, a Flush always beats a Full House House.
All costumes (heart, diamonds, spades and clubs) are of equal rank in poker, while the cards themselves are ordered (highest to lowest) as Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.
What follows is a detailed list of the ranking in poker, the best to the worst hand.
1. Five of a Kind
A Five of a Kind is the highest possible poker hand where the characters generic (wildcard or any other card, such as Deuces, which are proposed as "savages") are used, and consists of five cards of same rank. If more a player reaches a Five of a Kind, the highest card value wins, so 5 Aces beats five decades, which beat five Sevens, and so on. Only used in games that use wildcards.
2. Royal Flush
A Royal Flush is the best poker hand natural possible, that is, without a wildcard. It consists of a AKQJ-10 in the same color.
3. Straight Flush
A Straight is a sequence Five cards in sequential order, such as 4-5-6-7-8, and a flush is five cards of the same color. The combination of the two terms mean that a Straight Flush is Five cards consecutive order, all the same color.
For example, an eight-high Straight Flush 8-7-6-5-4 would be all one color, such as Hearts. With a little right, an Ace can be used in small, for example, A-2-3-4-5 of clubs.

4. Four of a Kind

5. Full House
This hand consists of three of a kind combined with a pair, as 6-6-QQQ. The indices are determined primarily by the rank of the Three of a Kind, then by the pair. For example, a 2-2-JJJ (three doses) beats an 8-8-8-KK (three 8's).
6. Rinse
A flush is a hand where all cards are the same color, for example, 2-5-7-9-K club.
If two (or more) puffs tie, the highest card wins. Case of a tie, then the next card determines, and so on. In this way, 2-3-9-JK of Hearts beat 5-6 JK-8-pic.
7. Right
A Straight consists of five cards of any suit in sequential order, such as 7-8-9-10-J. An Ace can be high or low, but can not wrap as QKA-2-3.
When two players have a straight, the hand with the highest rank wins high card. In this way, 8-9-10-JQ beats 4-5-6-7-8. If two straights have the same high card value, they split the pot.
8. Three of a Kind
This hand consists of three cards that have the same rank, like 2-4-6-6-6. If more than one player has Three of a Kind, the rank of the three cards determines the winner, so 9-9-9-QK (three 9 years) should also lose 2-4 against JJJ-(three doses).
9. Two Pairs
The hand consists of two pairs of two separate pairs of cards of equal rank and a 5th card row different, as 2-6-6-9-9. If two (or more) players have two pairs, the highest pair wins. If the two pairs above are the same, then the pair most High remaining determines the winner. If both pairs tie, then the unpaired card determines the winner. For example, 7-8-8 beats 7-8-8-9-9-DD, 2-6 DD-6-and 3-8-8-JJ.
10. Pair
A pair is two cards of equal rank with three distinct cards, such as 9-9-6-4-2. In case of tie, the pair won more. If both pairs are the same, the highest card wins again – the last card if necessary. For example, 6-8 beats KK-9-2-5-7-KK, and 3-5-6-9-9 2-5-6-9-9 beats.
11. High Card
High Card is a hand with any combination that does not count as one poker hands above. In other words, if one has a pair or better, the highest card wins. In this way, A-7-6-4-2 beats KQJ-9-7 and Q-8-7-6-4 beats Q-8-7-6-2.
